We are the third owners of Seldovia Fishing Adventures.  This business is our passion, fishing, fun, and family!  Fishing is not just a hobby for us, it is our lifestyle and we are honored to share it with others.

First Mate Ashley Keithley grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has spent over 10 years on the saltwater with her husband Captain Chris.  As a professional figure skater, fishing wasn't her first passion, but the outdoors had a calling for her. She was reeled in by a group of ladies who organize all women's fishing, hiking, and hunting trips. 

Ashley enjoys making everyone feel at home, treating guests to the true Alaskan experience filled with delectable Sea-to-Table dishes, and cleaning their fishes!

    Captain Chris Keithley is a United States Coast Guard (USCG) Master Mariner.  He grew up fishing the ocean waters on the pacific northwest.  With over 20 years of experience operating vessels and consistently filling the boat with fish, he is honored to share his passion and knowledge with others.

    Chris makes safety his top priority while making sure all aboard are comfortable and have the adventure of a lifetime!  

    Dustin Prete

    Captain Dustin Prete grew up fishing and hunting since he was a kid. He went on to have a successful 24-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard, spending the last 14 years in Alaska. His time in the state helped him develop a deep connection to its stunning landscapes and abundant waters, fueling his passion for fishing and the Alaskan wilderness. With experience fishing in both Southeast Alaska and Kodiak, Dustin has a wide range of knowledge and techniques to ensure a great trip. He loves sharing his expertise and showing guests all that Alaska has to offer, from its breathtaking scenery to its world-class fishing. Whether it's your first time or you're a seasoned angler, he's excited to make your Alaskan adventure unforgettable.

    Chase McGee

    Chase McGee grew up in the Pacific Northwest and developed a strong passion for fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors at a young age. He is currently a Division 1 pole vaulter at Montana State University, where he balances athletics with his love for the mountains and outdoor lifestyle.  With a background built around hard work, discipline, and adventure, Chase enjoys helping guests create unforgettable experiences on the water while sharing his passion for fishing and the Alaskan outdoors.

    Gabe Thurman

      Gabe Thurman is part of the support crew at Seldovia Fishing Adventures, helping wherever he’s needed — from assisting on the water to cleaning, processing, and sealing fish back at the dock for guests to take home. Growing up surrounded by the outdoors, Gabe has spent much of his life fishing the rivers and oceans of the Pacific Northwest and has developed a strong appreciation for adventure, hard work, and life on the water.
      When he’s not helping around camp or out fishing, Gabe is focused on his future goal of becoming a pilot after graduating high school in 2028. With a love for both aviation and the outdoors, he enjoys being part of the SFA team and helping guests create memorable Alaska experiences.

      Cambria Barnes

        Cambria Barnes, born and raised in Alaska,  brings a warm, hardworking spirit to every guest experience. Throughout her seasons with SFA, she has dedicated herself to making visitors feel comfortable, welcomed, and right at home from the moment they arrive. Whether she’s bustling around the B&B making sure everything runs smoothly or down on the docks cleaning and hauling fish, Cambria is always happy to lend a hand and keep things running with a smile.

          Adelynn Geagel 16 years old, Alaskan born and raised. Grew up in Seldovia, enjoy outdoor activities; kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, fishing, and hunting. Working at the gas station this summer!

          Meggie Langvart

            Meggie Langvart was born in Anchorage and raised on the Kenai Peninsula. She has spent her life enjoying Alaska’s coastal lifestyle. Since she was a baby, she has spent summers at our family cabin on MacDonald Spit, where her father now lives year-round as a commercial fisherman. During the summer, her family sells fresh salmon to locals and visitors.

            She is also the owner of the only full-service hair salon in Seldovia and has been a hairstylist for 23 years. She loves working with children, spending time outdoors and with her family and sharing her appreciation for the unique beauty and traditions of Alaska.

            Courtney Prete

            Lady Behind the Lens

            Courtney Prete is an avid outdoorswoman, storyteller, and creative behind the lens for Seldovia Fishing Adventures. Raised with a deep love for adventure and the outdoors, Courtney took her very first ocean trip at just six weeks old — the beginning of a lifelong connection to wild places and life on the water.
            As the founder of Her Outdoor Journey, Courtney has spent years building community through outdoor education, adventure travel, and authentic storytelling. At SFA, she brings that same passion into her role managing social media marketing, professional photography, and videography — capturing the unforgettable moments, people, and experiences that make Alaska so special.
            Whether she’s behind the camera on the deck of the boat, exploring remote coastlines, or sharing the stories of guests and crew, Courtney is passionate about preserving the adventure and helping others feel connected to the beauty, excitement, and lifestyle that Alaska offers.

                Our Fleet

                Labrador

                   The Labrador is a 2024 custom built Northriver that captain Chris has set up to be a cook inlet fishing machine! This 32' 3/4 walk around has the space to comfortably fish up to 6 anglers and and the twin 300 Yamahas will get you to the fishing grounds quick!  This boat is equipped with the latest in Garmin electronics, downriggers, pot puller, and electric fishing reels for making those deep drops for trophy halibut much more efficient. Yet in all of that fun and speed, Safety is our top priority! There is a self inflating lifeboat, throwable life ring, and Coast Guard approved PFD’s on board. Passengers will be briefed on all equipment prior to departing the dock.

                  Northern Goose II

                    The Northern Goose II is a custom-built 28’ Fish-rite pilot house. With twin Suzuki 175’s purchased new in 2020, you’re sure to get to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. Onboard you’ll find a fully enclosed toilet for your comfort. Our boat is equipped with the latest in Garmin electronics, downriggers, and electric fishing reels for making those deep drops for trophy halibut much more efficient. Yet in all of that fun and speed, Safety is our top priority! There is a throwable life ring, and Coast Guard approved PFD’s on board. Passengers will be briefed on all equipment prior to departing the dock.

                      Colby Fin joined our team on April 2025 with a pole in his hand!  With one season under his belt he is now running around like he owns the place! This summer he will be hard at work with mom on the dock filleting up our clients catches every afternoon! Make sure and come by and give him an encouraging thumbs up for his dedication;)

                      Seldovia Greeter

                        Ace is our bird dog who wishes he was a fish dog.  As much as he wants to come on the boat everyday he is too crazy!  Instead he is the official "Greeter" of Seldovia always there to say "hi" at the dock or as you come off the ferry.  

                        Poncho

                        The Alaska Mountain Lion

                          Beware the Alaskan mountain lion can be spotted rolling in the sand on the beach or snuggled up on the couch at B&B.  He may look ferocious, but if you have a treat he can be tamed. You will know it's Poncho when you hear the jingle of this bell and see the fashionable bow tie on his collar.
